Shri Nandkishor Kagliwal (Chairman-Nath Group) to lead a delegation of agricultural exporters to Russia from 24th to 27th April 2023.
The delegation is sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and is organized jointly by Indian Embassy in Moscow, Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) and Moscow Chamber of Commerce.
In a personal interaction, the leader of the delegation Shri Kagliwal said that Food and Agri is one of the prominent sectors of India's export basket amounting to USD 46 billion, contributing nearly 11% to country's exports.
We in India have immense potential to emerge as a leading exporter of a wide range of food products such as Rice, Cotton, Milk, Sugar, Tea, Coffee, Spices and also fruits and vegetables both fresh and processed.
India and Russia have enjoyed deep bonds of friendship. In the current geo-political situation, Russia has emerged as an important source of energy for our country. At the present juncture, there is a disruption of supply chain in Russia. We in India can avail of this opportunity to fill the gap as a reliable supplier of host of agricultural products.
Substantial measures are being taken by both Government and industry to encourage value addition and augment exports of agricultural produce. Objective is to achieve export target of USD 100 billion in next 5 years.
Shri Kagliwal complimented the Indian Embassy in Moscow and Consulate General in St. Petersburg for extending full support to make the visit of this delegation successful.
