SHRI NANDKISHOR KAGLIWAL APPOINTED AS HONORARY CONSUL FOR THE REPUBLIC OF TUNISIA

The President of Republic of Tunisia Hon’ble Mr Kais Saied has announced appointment of Shri Nandkishor Kagliwal as Honorary Consul for India. Shri Kagliwal is a first generation entrepreneur, educationist and thought leader. He is the first person from Marathwada to be appointed to this prestigious diplomatic position.

He is Founder/Chairman of Nath Group. Nath Group is a diversified industrial house with interests in agricultural research, hybrid seeds, food processing and manufacturing of specialty papers and industrial chemicals.

Shri Kagliwal has been actively involved with socio-economic development of the region and was instrumental in establishing marquee institutions; notable amongst them being Nath Valley School, Nath School of Business & Technology, Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital, Aurangabad International Film Festival.

As Honorary Consul for the Republic of Tunisia, Shri Kagliwal shall endeavor to promote trade and investment between Tunisia and India. There is also great potential for promoting tourism and culture between the two countries.





Shri Nandkishor Kagliwal (Chairman-Nath Group) to lead a delegation of agricultural exporters to Russia from 24th to 27th April 2023.

The delegation is sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and is organized jointly by Indian Embassy in Moscow, Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) and Moscow Chamber of Commerce.

In a personal interaction, the leader of the delegation Shri Kagliwal said that Food and Agri is one of the prominent sectors of India's export basket amounting to USD 46 billion, contributing nearly 11% to country's exports.

We in India have immense potential to emerge as a leading exporter of a wide range of food products such as Rice, Cotton, Milk, Sugar, Tea, Coffee, Spices and also fruits and vegetables both fresh and processed.

India and Russia have enjoyed deep bonds of friendship. In the current geo-political situation, Russia has emerged as an important source of energy for our country. At the present juncture, there is a disruption of supply chain in Russia. We in India can avail of this opportunity to fill the gap as a reliable supplier of host of agricultural products.

Substantial measures are being taken by both Government and industry to encourage value addition and augment exports of agricultural produce. Objective is to achieve export target of USD 100 billion in next 5 years.

Shri Kagliwal complimented the Indian Embassy in Moscow and Consulate General in St. Petersburg for extending full support to make the visit of this delegation successful.
